end with superior products. The US Silica Corporate Lab
provides technical expertise, analytical testing resources and
application development to promote product value and cost
savings. The lab consists of four departments: |

Foundry
Lab: Fully equipped lab for testing foundry sand.
Analysis capabilities include determination of grain size
distribution, pH, ADV, turbidity, resin-bonded sand evaluation and a complete green sand testing
program. |

Paint
/ Coatings Lab: Formulation, application and testing of
paints, coatings and grouts for fillers / extenders and building
products end uses. |
|
Analytical
Lab: Performs elemental (oxide) analyses by ICP and
XRF for quality control assessment and product evaluation
projects. Performs GC analyses of FLORISIL® products of
quality control assessment. |
|
Mineral
Processing Lab: From mine to final product, our lab is
able to model plant production processes to test variation in our
deposits, and improve our ability to meet customer requirements. |
